On Sunday, November 9, 2025, the King’s Own Calgary Regiment held a graveside ceremony honouring Corporal (Cpl) Gawen Foster, who served in the 50th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force (50th Bn CEF), and was wounded during the Battle of Vimy Ridge.
